GhanaBar LMS ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by the Ghana Bar Association through Scarfold Group Ghana. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Learning Management System at scarfoldgroupgh.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information — name, email address, password, role (student/instructor)
• Profile information — phone number, job title, bio, profile photo
• Google account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google
• Google Calendar data — when instructors connect Google Calendar to schedule live sessions, we access their calendar to create Google Meet meetings on their behalf
• Learning data — course progress, quiz scores, assignment submissions, CPD hours
• Payment information — processed securely through Paystack (we do not store card details)
• Usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on platform

3. How We Use Google Data

We use Google services in two ways:

• Google Sign-In — allows you to create an account or log in using your Google account. We only access your name, email address and profile picture.
• Google Calendar API — instructors can connect their Google account to automatically create Google Meet links when scheduling live sessions. We access Google Calendar only to create, update and delete calendar events on behalf of the instructor. We do not read or access any existing calendar events.

Our use of Google API Services complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve our learning platform
• To track your course progress and CPD hours
• To send you course notifications and certificates
• To process payments for paid courses
• To schedule and manage live learning sessions
• To communicate important updates about your account

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers:

• Google — for authentication and Calendar/Meet integration
• Paystack — for secure payment processing
• Resend — for sending transactional emails
• Zoom — for video conferencing integration

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted sessions, HTTPS, rate limiting, and input sanitization to protect your data. Google tokens are stored securely and used only for the purposes described above.

7. Your Rights

• Access and download your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Disconnect Google account at any time from your profile settings
• Opt out of non-essential communications
